Between Ones and Zeros (2024)
This body of work is set within the borderlands of the gender spectrum, orienting the viewer at the equator where linear laws of physics and magnetic attraction fall away.
The work is situated in a void, a performance which plays out on an infinitesimal scale where identity is not formed through interaction but through observation, and evolutionary purpose is a digging question.
Photographic representation and documentation are pulled into question in this uncertain arena. Intangible imagery is made physical through labored manual processes, emulsion is lifted with context, and what is left is only held together by the effort of questioning.
